Strawberry Bread

Ingredients

1 cup sugar

2 cups flour

1 cup slightly mashed berries

1 tsp. baking soda

1/3 cup oil

1/2 tsp. baking powder

2 eggs

1/4 tsp. salt

3 Tbs. milk

1/4 tsp. nutmeg

1/2 - 3/4 cup nuts

Directions

Mash berries. Add sugar and let stand 30 minutes to 1 hr. Combine with oil, eggs and milk. Mix well by hand. Add nuts. Sift dry ingredients and add. Mix well. Pour into greased loaf pan, bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
